About us

The Journal of Arbitration and Mediation (the Journal) was the first bilingual peer-reviewed Canadian publication to focus exclusively on dispute prevention and resolution. It is a joint initiative of the Université de Sherbrooke, Faculty of Law, Université de Montréal, Faculty of Law, Osgoode Hall Law School and the Winkler Institute for Dispute Resolution (at Osgoode Hall Law School).Since 2010, it has published some 50 texts dealing with a wide scope of issues and concerns of central importance to the field.

The Journal’s mission is to encourage reflection and debate on issues of concern to both academics and practitioners interested in dispute prevention and resolution, including mediation and arbitration. More specifically, we aim to publish papers that present original and creative research in this field.
